Articles and Testimonials

After Sales Support Leads The Way…
"Following the demonstration of all sweepers, it was unanimous amongst the operators and mechanics that the Scarab Mistral Sweeper from Rosmech was the most suitable for Council's use. Other Councils who have recently purchased the Scarab Sweeper also indicated that they are very happy with their sweeper, and also commented on the good back up service provided after the purchase from the company."

The Advantages Of The Scarab Merlin…
"The distinct feature of the Scarab Merlin is the hydrostatic drive which operates the transmission and sweeping functions through the drive engine, thereby dispensing the need for an auxilliary engine. The advantages of not having an auxiliary engine are more hopper volume and lower noise emission. The Scarab Merlin also has a low overall height which is an advantage in some residential areas."

"When both products are compared, the Scarab Merlin from Rosmech offers a greater payload, better estimated fuel consumption, tighter turning circle, large capacity onboard water tank and truck chassis is supported by a local dealer."

Our Relationship Is Excellent…
"Rosmech is a company that surrounding Council's and the current Council have dealt with for more than 15 years. Over the years they have supplied council all of its requirements to keep our sweepers on the road.

Rosmech currently supply approximately 50% of the market with their sweepers. Our relationship with both the administration and the parts supply department is excellent. I have personally visited the company on two occassions.

Recently a neighbouring council purchased a new sweeper from them and comments from their management indicate they are very happy with the product. They have a view of purchasing another in the near future."

The Scarab Mistral, Conventionally Engineered…
"The Scarab Mistral has a conventionally engineered configuration with an auxiliary engine to power the sweeper systems, and is similar in size and capacity to the MacDonald Johnston VS500, The offer includes a choice of either a Nissan or Hino Cab Chassis. The Scarab has an integral centre main broom."

One Lump or Two? - The Trend Towards Single-Engined Sweepers
Next to the regular collection of domestic waste, there is perhaps no better sign of a civilized society than the cleanliness of its streets. But there's a heated debate-taking place at present, between the exponents of the traditional twin-engine truck-mounted highway sweepers and those who suggest that a single-engine format is the way forward. This debate is a complex one, but there are signs that the single-engine concept is gaining ground. Read more >

Dash Plant Hire - Andy Zwar
In August 2005 our company was awarded a new contract for street sweeping services in the Albury/Wodonga region, this was a new venture for our company and we searched high and low for good quality second hand road sweepers. We were fortunate enough to Discover The Rosmech Group in Adelaide and after discussions with Colin Miller and Dennis Sletten we purchased a second hand Scarab Major known as unit 18 and described by Colin as "a reliable work horse". The Scarab Major was on a 1991 DAF, although this vehicle had some age about it, it was well maintained and kept in excellent condition. We travelled to Adelaide to receive a two day training/induction session.

Once the machine was put into action we were very happy with the performance of the unit and so was our customers. Being a new venture for our company we found that customer service, technical support and spare parts delivery second to none. The knowledge and back up support that the whole team at Rosmech have is comforting when our operation is so far away from Rosmech's head office. Being a second hand unit we have had our minor setbacks with breakdowns and general repairs, however technical advise and spare parts have been readily accessible. Michael McMillan in spare parts has an incredible amount of experience in sourcing parts and excellent knowledge of these machines. Due to this support our business has grown considerably and we are planning to purchase another Scarab Road Sweeper from Rosmech Sales & Service in the near future.
